Working with conservation architects Thomas Ford, AMPC proposed a modular floor which could be raised to any height for experimenting with theatre forms which included those for circus acts as well as drama.

E15 Clifftown Theatre & Studios Gestation

AMPC collaborated with the design team to provide two side lighting galleries along the church nave which give high level access to the production lighting & sound. The overhead motorised lighting bars provide technical flexibility.



E15 Clifftown Theatre & Studios Birth

The transformed church offers a highly flexible performance space for 200 seats with a myriad of formats plus inspirational combat studios within the modest church detailing.



Activities, shows & life of the project

Students have been given endless possibilities that they have exploited to the full since the opening in 2010. The department has developed its reputation for experimental design and successful students.
