AMPC collaborated with Burrell Foley Fischer Architects to produce a simple and economical form of auditorium.
A continuous ring of balcony and audience faces surround the stage at first floor level and at ground floor level the low stage riser is supported by the stalls designed with a shallow rake.

The result has been a beautiful Concert Hall with an acoustic that receives universal praise from all who experience it. The seat layout provides the connection between performer and audience that is so important in today’s performance practice.
The Yehudi Menuhin School Gestation
AMPC developed and detailed the chandelier lights combining performance lighting, house lighting and emergency lighting which can be lowered for maintenance.
We provided all performance related specifications and delivered seating, performance lighting and rigging.


The Yehudi Menuhin School Birth
Opening in January 2006 the client had an exquisite concert hall, with a great ambience and international reputation for live performance and recordings.
Standards at the school have soared because musicians can hear each other on stage.


Activities, shows & life of the project
The new build received multiple awards and additional income streams for the school from recording and outside hires.
The success of the hall has resulted in the Council granting additional numbers of performances per year and the BBC has installed live streaming equipment and remote cameras for broadcasting.
